Celebrating Roadies

Today is apparently International Roadies’ Day, in which all music lovers should maybe take a moment to acknowledge the immense amount of hard work they contribute to the art of pop and rock music.

I recall my brother told me of a gig he went to – must have been in the early ’70s when there was some sort of problem between the band’s drummer and the roadie, because whenever the latter appeared on the stage, the drummer would throw a drumstick at him. Don’t recall if he hit him, but the career can be a dangerous one.

This is the only I know about roadies,  Jackson Brown  with ‘The Lowdown’ and ‘Stay’ .
