Walking History- 13 Fascinating Walks in Central Bristol

A great selection of walks, original research, great for all interests and make as long or short as you wish.

This was one of my first books, and it is in the form of a series of walks that can be done singly or joined together, sort of a mix’n’match thingy.

The first two go round Castle Park in the city centre, then round the old city, then follow the floating harbour, and go up to Clifton Down, and others head off into Bedminster in the south.

Each one comes with details of length and public transport, a hand-drawn map and loads of unusual facts that are not to be found elsewhere, like the memorial to a famous church cat, the one-time home of an Urban Spaceman, the founder of Australian architecture, and a famous vaudevillian.
