This book, formerly published as ‘Death and the Bridge – The Georgian Rebuilding of Bristol Bridge’ is now published on kindle, with a lovely new cover. It’s about the old city, local politics, and one of my favourite dead people, James Bridges,a lovely, talented man who was treated badly by the leaders of Bristol. A story whose theme continues today.
This is a companion piece to other books also on kindle,
‘Buildings & Builders of Georgian Bristol 1735-54’
‘Buildings & Builders of Georgian Bristol 1760-87’
and other books to follow.
